LC-100 Printing Codes on Labels with Optel Serialization Platform

Designed for high-speed, efficient, accurate and economical coding of labels for various applications, such as bottles, syringes and vials, the WLS LC-100 label coder is a stand-alone unit. Human-readable or 2D serialized codes can be printed at high-speed. With its own PC and separately validated controls, the LC-100 unwinds labels, uses a laser (as shown on this video) or thermal transfer printer to apply a serialized code, then a camera verifies the code for accuracy before the labels are rewound. The coded labels can then be run on existing labelers, resulting in minimal re-validation of the labeler. To learn more about label serialized coding, contact Weiler today.

Hi, my name is Philip Maraval, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Weiler Labeling Systems. Weiler Labeling Systems is part of the ProMach Pharma line, and we are manufacturers of pressure-sensitive labelers, label coders, and vial coders for the pharmaceutical industry. In doing so, we've been very active in the serialization field and working very closely with Optel for over 10 years.

The machine I'm going to present to you is the LC100. This machine takes a label that is pre-printed with a black box or coded, brings the label under a Domino laser which either burns the black box or changes the color of the coating, verifies the code with an optical camera, verifies that the correct code is printed, and then, if required, we can add an option that automatically removes bad labels. Otherwise, all the labels are rewound and ready to use on a labeling machine.

We are very proud to partner with Domino and Optel to offer a turnkey solution to serialization customers. For more information about the LC100, please visit our website.
